Steven Reinhart, M.D., cardiologist with the Cardiovascular Medicine division of The Oregon Clinic, was recently recognized by Providence Portland Medical Center with the Spirit of Emilie Mission Medal Award.
“This award is the highest honor given to employees, physicians, and staff who are part of Providence Medical Center demonstrating the Providence mission and core values in an exemplary way. Dr. Reinhart represents the best of Providence Portland. He is a role model for others and consistently reflects this in his interactions with co-workers, patients, and families,” said Kristy Wayson, Executive, Providence Heart and Vascular Institute/Oregon.
The award is named after the founder of the Sisters of Providence, Emilie Gamelin, who was born at the turn of the 19th century in Montreal, Canada and is a model of compassionate care for those in need.
Dr. Reinhart graduated from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). He completed his internship and residency along with his cardiology fellowship also at OHSU. Dr. Reinhart focuses on clinical quality improvement initiatives and interventional cardiology.
