Portland Knee Clinic brings two orthopedic surgeons, a new expertise for the physician-led specialty group
Portland, OR – The Oregon Clinic (TOC) will add orthopedics as its newest specialty this June when physicians and staff from Portland Knee Clinic join the organization. The group, which will be known as “The Oregon Clinic Orthopedics,” will complement The Oregon Clinic’s Foot and Ankle expertise while expanding surgical offerings into orthopedics.
Dr. Richard Rubinstein Jr. and Dr. John O’Shea, orthopedic surgeons from Portland Knee Clinic, are both highly respected and have practiced in the Portland community for more than 20 years. Dr. Rubinstein and Dr. O’Shea exclusively treat knee conditions and have seen countless patients over the years. Patients with sports injuries, degenerative knee problems, and overuse injuries visit the orthopedists for a variety of treatments and procedures, including ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, knee replacement, unicompartmental knee replacement, and more.
“We look forward to the collaboration opportunities The Oregon Clinic brings to both us and our patients,” said Dr. John O’Shea at Portland Knee Clinic. “Joining The Oregon Clinic will allow Dr. Rubinstein and I more time to focus on patient care while we hand over much of the administrative duties of running a surgical clinic to the expert team at The Oregon Clinic.”
For The Oregon Clinic, this expansion is reassuring growth coming on the heels of a tumultuous year in health care. “Despite being nearly a year into the pandemic, The Oregon Clinic is in a strong position and ready for strategic growth,” said Tom Sanchez, CEO of The Oregon Clinic. “Our teams have long anticipated this expansion and the opportunities it will bring.”
“As a new specialty, orthopedic surgery will help bridge the gap for our patients and providers across services,” said Dr. Richard Jamison, President of The Oregon Clinic. “We are proud to once again partner with a specialty group with such an excellent reputation.”
In addition to Dr. Rubinstein and Dr. O’Shea, Portland Knee Clinic brings two Physician Assistants, Mark Davis, PA-C and Lisa Andersen, PA-C, and several additional support staff to The Oregon Clinic. They will continue to see patients at their existing office location in the Providence Professional Plaza in NE Portland.
