The Oregon Clinic Named A Top Workplace by The Oregonian; Acknowledged for “Best Benefits” Based on Employee Feedback

Monday, September 15, 2014

The Oregon Clinic, the state’s largest multi-specialty physician-owned practice, is honored to announce its ranking as one of the top five large companies to work for in The Oregonian’s Top Workplaces Survey 2014. Companies throughout Oregon and southwest Washington were selected solely based on employee feedback regarding benefits, work environment, job satisfaction, and other factors. The Oregon Clinic received special recognition for offering employees one of the “best benefits” packages.

“It is a privilege to be recognized as a top workplace in the Portland community, especially since this honor is based exclusively on employee feedback,” said Dr. Craig Fausel, president and CEO for The Oregon Clinic. “We owe our success to the hard work of our physicians and employees—and in exchange, we give them a place where they are proud to work and can do their best. Year after year we have continued to grow in size and our staff has repeatedly stepped up to the challenge to deliver outstanding health care.”

Since its founding in 1994, The Oregon Clinic has grown from a small group of six medical practices and 40 physicians to one of the largest specialty medicine practices in the country. Now with more than 180 providers and over 800 employees, The Oregon Clinic offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid health insurance, generous vacation time, employee discounts to retailers, and more.

“Our employees work hard to take excellent care of our patients and we want to provide a positive work environment that makes it easy for them to provide that great care. We believe offering a comprehensive benefits package is an important part of being a great place to work,” shared Kristin Cole, director of human resources for The Oregon Clinic.

Also included in The Oregon Clinic benefits package are a 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company matching contribution up to 5% of the employee’s earnings, cash incentives for employee referrals, and a great pension-type plan—on top of the 401(k) match. The company’s wellness program, In the Pursuit of Healthiness, offers fitness competitions with prizes, healthy recipes, and free, on-site neck and shoulder massages for employees.

The results of Top Workplaces Survey 2014 were first announced at a banquet on Sep. 10 in Portland. The Oregonian then published the results in a special section of the print publication on Sunday, Sep. 14. The list is also posted online at www.oregonlive.com/topworkplaces.
