The Oregon Clinic’s West Hills Gastroenterology division welcomes Glenn Eisen, MD, MPH. His special interests lie in Esophageal disease, Barrett’s esophagus, colorectal cancer screening, therapeutic pancreaticobiliary endoscopy, capsule endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease. He most recently worked as a professor for the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and was also the Director of Endoscopy at OHSU. He is currently the Editor in Chief for the publication Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Eisen received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y. in 1987. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City where he later became Chief Resident.
Originally from New York City, Dr. Eisen graduated from the University of Virginia in 1983, where he majored in Biopsychology. He is the author of numerous research articles and frequently presents research findings at medical conferences and assemblies. Dr. Eisen is also the recipient of several honors and awards including being named as one of the “Best Doctors in America” three years in a row by other physicians.
Dr. Eisen now lives in Portland with his wife and three children. During his spare time he enjoys running, tennis, theatre and reading.
