Dr. Chapman chose dermatology because of the diversity within this specialty and its unique visual nature in medicine. She places extra emphasis on communicating details of the diagnoses and treatment plan to patients in ways patients will understand, thus focusing on a team-based approach between physician and patient to manage their skin conditions. Dr. Chapman believes the most rewarding part of her job is making patients feel genuinely cared for and having a positive impact on their quality of life.

Dr. Chapman likes living in Portland because it is a great blend of outdoor beauty and activities as well as urban intrigue. Outside of work, you can find her cycling, hiking, skiing (cross country and downhill), cooking, and traveling.
