Melanie decided to pursue urology as a specialty because of the opportunity to help patients be more free to live and enjoy their lives, as many urologic difficulties can have a significant impact on patients’ quality of life.
Melanie received her B.S. in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Music at Portland State University and received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. Melanie is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Melanie enjoys living in Portland because of the beautiful summers. Outside of work, she likes to practice yoga, draw, and play guitar.
