Dr. Ahmad completed his undergraduate education at the University of Glasgow Medical School in Scotland.  He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Illinois, Metro Group Hospitals in Chicago and later completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery. Dr. Ahmad brings several honors and awards to The Oregon Clinic Center for Advanced Surgery, including the John Hunter Medal in Biology and Colin C. MacPherson Bequest Prize in Orthopedic Surgery.

During his spare time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys music, medieval history and literature.  He also maintains interests in skiing, rugby, and cricket.
